Sparks Boulevard Multimodal Corridor Study

Sparks, NV

The Sparks Boulevard Multimodal Corridor Study was administered by the Regional Transportation Commission (RTC) on behalf of the City of Sparks. Headway, formerly Traffic Works, was selected as the primary consulting team and worked with a Technical Advisory Committee to conduct an in-depth study of the Sparks Boulevard Corridor from Greg Street to Pyramid Way. The project team developed a set of phased, multimodal improvements to manage traffic flows through the 20-year horizon and enhance the transportation infrastructure to serve the needs of all roadway users. The study incorporated short- and long-term recommendations and strategies to provide high quality pedestrian and bicycle facilities, infrastructure that supports public transit, and adequate vehicular capacity through the 2035 horizon year.
