Headway Transportation prepared key transportation components of the Town of Paradise Transportation Plan (TMP) as a subconsultant to Mark Thomas. The Paradise TMP was completed as part of a federal grant following the catastrophic 2018 Camp Fire which devastated most of the Town and severely impacted the infrastructure. The TMP was a unique opportunity to engage the community (both present in the Town and displaced) and to build a more resilient roadway network equipped to handle the future daily traffic needs and prepare for future disasters and evacuations. The TMP is a comprehensive plan including evacuation planning, daily traffic needs, an Active Transportation Plan, and a Local Road Safety Plan, which included extensive community outreach and building upon past planning efforts and lessons learned from the Camp Fire.
