The North Valleys area is undergoing significant development and roadway network changes, which prompted the need to evaluate the Buck Drive / North Hills Boulevard intersection and adjacent corridor. Headway conducted an Intersection Control Evaluation study to identify recommended lane configurations and controls for Buck Drive at North Hills Boulevard for the Future Year (20-year Horizon) conditions considering operations, safety, access, right-of-way, costs, etc. In addition, Headway reviewed the Buck Drive corridor between Lemmon Drive and North Hills Boulevard and provided recommendations to improve safety, circulation, and access management. After comparing the costs and benefits of a multi-lane roundabout verses a signalized intersection, a signal was recommended.
